Requirements to the applicant

In accordance with part 2 and part 3 of Article 69 of the Federal Law d.d. 29.12.2012. No. 273-FZ "On Education in the Russian Federation", persons with a secondary general education are admitted to study Bachelor's degree programmes.

The applicant must have a certificate of secondary (complete) general education, secondary vocational education or higher professional education, as well as a certificate of initial professional education, if it contains a record of getting secondary (complete) general education by the bearer; the results of the USE, entrance examination conducted by the University independently confirming successful completion of entrance examination in general educational subjects included in the list of entrance examination by the educational programme of higher education.

The field of professional activities of graduates includes system of political knowledge, totality of political processes at various tiers of authority, subjects of political processes, in the field of political communications and counseling, the process of political decision-making, and politics scientific research.

 

Objects of professional activities of graduates - various fields of socio-political, socio-cultural and economic space of the Russian Federation and of the world.

  • In the political field itself: in public authorities (federal, regional and municipal levels), in political parties and social and political movements, in the system of modern international relations.
  • In terms of socio-cultural aspect: political culture and identity, social and political attitudes.
  • In the economic aspect: the interaction of government and business, political interests and aspirations of different groups of economic community.

Characteristics of bachelors' professional activity:

Professional activity of bachelors within the field of study 44.03.05 "Pedagogical education" is in the field of pedagogy and humanities, language, interpersonal and intercultural communication, in institutions of education, culture and management sectors.

The objects of professional activity  of graduates who have completed the bachelor's degree programme, are foreign languages in their theoretical and practical, synchronic, diachronic, sociocultural aspects; teaching of foreign languages in the system of supplementary foreign language education; organization of out-of-school and extracurricular activities by means of foreign language. 

Professional tasks in accordance with professional activities:

pedagogical activity:

  • studying opportunities, needs, and achievements of students in the field of education
  • training and education in the field of education in accordance with the requirements of educational standards;
  • use of technologies appropriate to the age peculiarities of students and reflecting specific features of subject areas;
  • organization of cooperation with public and educational organizations, children's groups and parents (legal representatives), participation in self-government and school team administration to solve tasks of professional activity;
  • educational environment creation to ensure quality of education, including use of information technologies;

Characteristics of bachelors' professional activity:

Professional activity of bachelors within the field if study 45.03.01 "Philology" is in the field of philology and humanities, interpersonal, intercultural and mass communication in oral, written and virtual form.

The objects of professional activity of the graduates who have completed the bachelor's degree programme, are languages in their theoretical and practical, synchronic, diachronic, sociocultural and dialectological aspects; fiction and verbal folklore in their historical and theoretical aspects taking into account regularities of existence in different countries and regions; different types of texts: written, oral and virtual (including hypertexts and text elements of multimedia objects); oral, written and virtual communication.

"Foreign Philology" (English language and literature) field of study provides fundamental knowledge of a foreign language in theoretical, applied and communicative aspects of literature, culture and values of English-speaking countries. This field of study, in addition to research, prepares to applied activities: translation (oral, written, consecutive interpretation, etc.; translation of texts of different types), teaching (teaching English in secondary and secondary professional educational institutions), editorial, consultative and other activities, as well as to work in the field of intercultural communication.

Professional tasks in accordance with professional activities:

Research activities

Research in the field of philology using theoretical knowledge and practical skills obtained; analysis and interpretation, based on existing linguistic concepts and methods of individual linguistic, literary and communicative phenomena and processes, of texts of various types, including literary texts, with formulation of reasoned conclusions and findings; collection of scientific information, preparation of reviews, abstracts, compiling reference papers and bibliographies on the subject  of ongoing research; participation in scientific discussions and procedures for scientific papers defense at various levels; delivering papers and reports on the subject of ongoing research; oral, written and virtual (posting in information networks) presentation of own research;

Pedagogical activity

Classes and extracurricular activities on language and literature in secondary and professional educational organizations; preparation of educational materials for classes and extracurricular activities on the basis of existing methodologies; dissemination and popularization of linguistic knowledge and educational work with students.

The programme 46.03.01 "History"  is implemented in accordance with the educational standard FSES HE, approved by the Order of Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation No. 950 d.d. 07.08.2014

Characteristics of bachelors' professional activity:

The area of professional activity of the graduates who have completed the bachelor's degree programme includes work in educational institutions of vocational and higher education, archives, museums, specialized academic institutions and research institutes, expert and analytical centers, public and governmental organizations focused on information analysis; in the mass media (including electronic ones), public administration and local self-governing authorities, tourism organizations.

The objects of professional activity of the graduates who have completed the Bachelor's degree programme, are historical processes and phenomena in their socio-cultural, political, and economic dimensions and their reflection in historical records.

Professional tasks in accordance with professional activities:

Research activities

Use of skills in archives, museums, and libraries; search for relevant information in the library and online catalogs, network resources; preparation of reviews, abstracts, compiling reference papers and bibliographies on the subject of ongoing research.

Pedagogical activity

Practical use of pedagogical activities bases knowledge in teaching history in educational institutions;

implementation of the main tasks during teaching history in educational institutions: patriotic education, promotion of respect for history and traditions of our country, for the rights and freedoms of a man, for democratic principles of public life; acquisition of knowledge about the most important events, processes and phenomena of domestic and world history in their relationship and chronological sequence;

mastering basic methods of historical cognition, skills of work with different sources of historical information; value orientation while learning historically developed cultural, religious, and ethno-national traditions.

Requirements to the applicant

In accordance with part 3 and part 5 of article 69 of the Federal law No. 273-FZ "On education in Russian Federation" d.d. 29 December 2012, the applicants for Master's degree programme in the field of study 45.04.01 "Philology" must have a nationally recognized certificate of higher education; a document certifying successful completion of the established by the University entrance examinations for a master's degree programme. Admission is on a competitive basis.

Description of the master's degree programme 45.04.01 "Poetics of Russian literature"

Perfectly matching the spirit of classical university education, it is focused on training highly qualified staff in philology, specializing in the works of Russian writers and the analysis of texts of various types.

Priority thematic directions of the programme are theoretical, historical and sociological aspects of existence of Russian literature and its interaction with world literature, and other artistic systems (myth, folklore, languages, other forms of arts). They shaped such disciplines of the curriculum, as "Dynamics of genres in Russian literature", "Mythopoetics", "Comparative literature", "Russian poetry and Arab-Persian poetics", "Literature and history", "Interaction of different forms of art in Russian literature," etc.

Undoubtedly, thanks to such extension of cultural and professional "horizons" the programme graduates will be in demand in education (teaching of literature in schools and universities), as well as in research, publishing, and bookselling fields of professional activity.

The applicant must have a certificate of higher education, entrance examination conducted by the University independently confirming successful completion of entrance examination in general educational subjects included in the list of entrance examination by the educational programme of higher education.

Admission to the master's degree programme is on a competitive basis.

Description of the education programme "Modern Linguistics: expert analytics"

The educational Master's degree programme (EP HE) being implemented in Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Chelyabinsk State University" within the field of study 45.04.01 "Modern Linguistics: expert analytics" constitutes a system of documents developed with due regard to the market requirements based on FSES HPE for a relevant field of study, as well as with due regard to the recommended tentative educational programme.

The master's degree programme "History" develops experienced graduates for the following professional activities: education; research; cultural activities; expert analytics; administration and organization.

Primary professional activities of a graduate are connected with working as a teacher, researcher, staff member of an archive, a museum, a library; an analytics expert; a federal or municipal government employee; in media; a specialist of history or culture tourism.
