Dean of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine
Tseilikman Olga Borisovna – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor.
The establishment of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine in a classical university has been driven by the demands of the times. Chelyabinsk State University met the demands of the modern labor market by opening new profiles of training in 2018: "Medical Biochemistry" and "Medical Biophysics". These specialties are now being referred to as "doctors of the future". Medical education in a classical university is distinguished by the fundamental base of the disciplines studied. Highly qualified professors from affiliated faculties share their deepest knowledge in the early courses, forming a strong background for the medical disciplines taught in the advanced courses. Graduates acquire profound knowledge as well as broad practical skills, both laboratory and instrumental. Biochemists and biophysicists occupy a diagnostic niche in coordinating a patient's course of treatment. In this way, graduates of the Faculty are making a significant contribution to the high quality control of public health. The Faculty of Fundamental Medicine was founded in 2018 at Chelyabinsk State University. In recent decades, there has been a great focus on research in fundamental biomedicine, molecular immunology and oncology, neurotechnology, substitution of human factors by technical means. Prospects for the development are largely related to responses to the "challenges of society" by addressing new high-demand tasks of training highly qualified personnel and conducting research in the field of modern biotechologies and biomedicine. |
