Faculty of Eurasia and East

​​Faculty of Eurasia and East was founded in May 1998 on the basis of the Eastern Section of Oriental Languages Department of the Philological Faculty, founded in 1992 (as per administrative order № 193-1 dated 07.07.98 and the Department of Political Science, opened in 1998 (as per administrative order № 235-1dated 30.04.98).

The choice of faculty's mane is determined by the fact that Eastern region is the central area of study, those who consider Russia as a separate civilization which combines European and Asian elements with dominance of the last call the country "Eurasia". 

​Our faculty is the only one in South Ural that offers the following 3 Bachelor programmes:

  • Foreign Regional Studies (specialty - Eurasian Studies: Russia and bordering regions)
  • Philosophy (specialty - Eastern philosophy)
  • International Policy Studies (International relations and foreign policy of the East countries.

FIELDS  OF STUDY:

Program: "Foreign Regional Studies"

Specialty: Eurasian Studies: Russia and bordering regions

Regions: China, Korea, Japan, Arab countries and Turkey

Entrance Examination: (In accordance with Federal State Exam) – history, Russian language, foreign language

Enrollment plan (2019): 

Mode of study: Full-time courses

Terms of study: 4 years

Qualification (academic degree): Bachelor of Foreign Regional Studies with knowledge of foreign languages.

Specialty: Eastern philosophy

Entrance Examination: (In accordance with Federal State Exam) – history, Russian language, social studies

Enrollment plan (2019): 

Mode of study: Full-time courses

Qualification (academic degree): Bachelor

 

Program:  "International Policy Studies"

Specialty: International relations and foreign policy of the East countries

Entrance Examination: (In accordance with Federal State Exam) – history, Russian language, foreign language

Enrollment plan (2019): 

Mode of study: Full-time courses

Terms of study: 4 years

Qualification (academic degree): Bachelor of International relations with knowledge of foreign languages.
