Academic and cultural achievements
Faculty has several scientific areas connected with management of social and economic development of Municipal formation, people's participation in local government and Human resource management.
V. Labunski, I. Kolmakova and T. Korkina, Doctors of Economics, are the leaders of scientific specializations. Active participation in scientific research work empowered them to produce 2 doctorate thesis defenses and to issue monographs. Monograph entitled "Investment in Human Resource Capital in mining enterprise: theory and practice of management" won all-Russian competition for the best book in the field of labor economics and HR in 2008-2011 (among teachers and scientists of research institutions).
Management Faculty is actively involved in the preparation of educational programs and methodical provision, academic, additional and advanced personnel development trainings.
State and municipal management Department staff has taken part in writing of the basic textbook "The system of municipal governance" which was awarded with Education Prize of Government of the Russian Federation.
Schoolbooks, study guides, monographs written by faculty members are also multiple prize winners of IX – XIII Russian Contests and various degrees Diplomas.
Considerable attention is paid to student's creative potential. Annually CSU students contribute to numerous competitions, contests, and usually take prizes. There are some traditional activities organized by students, like matriculation, New Year's Day, Farewell Bell, Mister and Miss of the Faculty.
International projects, seminars, conferences and partners
In order to develop international partnerships and students' academic mobility, Management Faculty became a member of the international organization "NISPAcee" in 2013. This is "The Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe".
