International Summer School "On boundary of Europe and Asia 2013​"​ 


New stage in the development of international cooperation of the CSU was marked by victory in call for proposals to hold the International Summer School with the support of the DAAD that had made possible for German students to participate in the program "On boundary of Europe and Asia 2013" and to plunge in life, history and culture of the Ural region.

During  two-week program of the Summer School the main attention was paid to studying of Russian language and South Ural peoples' history. All lectures were conducted by high-qualified and experienced professors of the Linguistics and Translation Faculty and the Institute of Humanitarian Education of CSU.

Along with busy curriculum students enjoyed rich cultural program organized by International Cooperation Department.  Program contained tours around the city were held as well visits to historical and archeological National park  Arkaim, cities of Yekaterinburg, Zlatoust, border of Europe and Asia. Students had been delighted by beauties of the wild life reserve Ilmen and the Turgoyak lake.

Intensive learning of new and unknown, everyday communication with interesting and versatile people had accustomed our German guests to the unique cultural and historical heritage of the South Ural. That contributed to the strengthening and further development of solid friendly relations - which was one of the main goals of the Summer School 2013.

On the whole, organization of such events gives student a wonderful possibility to take a rest and spend their summer holidays with benefit.  The University also got a chance to gain priceless experience for realization and extension of international educational programmes.
